Manager – Liaison
Gina Callender is the Program Liaison and CEU Manager for Ohio’s University Consortium for Child and Adult Services (OUCCAS). She works directly with OUCCAS leadership and other stakeholders of the Ohio Child Welfare Training Program (OCWTP). She helped develop and is co-lead of the Racial Equity Council (REC). The high-level goal of REC is to move forward Racial Equity and Inclusion (REI) in all aspects of the work of the OCWTP.
Prior to her work with OUCCAS, Gina was a caseworker and later a supervisor for Cuyahoga County Division of Children and Family Services (CCDCFS), working in intake, ongoing, new worker training, and sobriety treatment and recovery teams (START) over the course of 18 years. She then spent 6 years as Director of the OCWTP’s North Central Ohio Regional Training Center. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Baldwin–Wallace College, a Master of Social Services Administration from Case Western Reserve University, a Certificate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from Cornell University, and is a licensed social worker in the state of Ohio.
