Specialist – Substitute Care & Permanency
Laura Friedhoff, LISW, is a content specialist on the Substitute Care and Permanency Team for Ohio’s University Consortium for Child and Adult Services (OUCCAS). Laura has a Master of Social Work from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Writing from DePauw University, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa / Summa cum Laude. Laura is also a certified Assessor for foster and adoptive homes.
Laura has experience providing direct service in multiple capacities, including community mental health, juvenile justice, and pediatric chronic care. In her current work with OUCCAS, Laura is principally responsible for developing training opportunities for caregivers. Additionally, Laura was the primary author of four courses in the newly revised Assessor training series and co-authored two others. Laura is a dedicated advocate for the well-being of children, families, and communities.
