Specialist – Family & Protective Services
Rachel Wooddell is a dedicated curriculum specialist with experience in training and development for child protection professionals. Currently serving in the Family Protection Services division for Ohio’s University Consortium for Child and Adult Services (OUCCAS), Rachel excels in developing standardized curricula for caseworkers, managing significant projects like the Caseworker Core 2.0 series, mentoring trainers, and ensuring quality assurance in the training program. With a Master of Education, Learning, and Technology from Western Governor’s University, a strong background in psychology, and experience as a child protection caseworker, Rachel has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in best practices for casework, CAPM, learning and development, project management, and stakeholder engagement.
In addition to her current position, Rachel has a history of roles in the child protection field, including Trainer for the Ohio Child Welfare Training Program (OCWTP), Staff Training Coordinator at the Western Ohio Regional Training Center (WORTC), screener and intake caseworker, specializing in dependency, at Greene County Children Services. Her career is marked by her ability to conduct comprehensive needs assessments, create engaging training materials, and foster strong professional relationships. Rachel’s passion for child protection and her commitment to continuous improvement make her a valuable asset to any organization focused on protecting and supporting children and families.
