Janie Rhoads

Specialist – Skill-Building

Janie Rhoads brings extensive experience and dedication to her role as a Transfer of Learning Specialist at OUCCAS. Janie is a dedicated professional with a rich background in social services and training. Currently serving as a Transfer of Learning Specialist at OUCCAS, Janie excels in developing resources that enhance the effectiveness of standardized training. Her collaborative efforts with various teams and her expertise in the CAPM framework have been instrumental in supporting trainers and coaches. Janie has served in public children’s services agencies three times in casework and supervision roles since 1987. Most recently, as a Social Services Supervisor at South Central Ohio Job and Family Services, she played a pivotal role in supervising CPS staff and guided them to implement the CAPM framework. Janie’s extensive experience includes training and coaching roles with the Ohio Child Welfare Training Program. Janie has received the Rising Star Award (2004) and the Linda Pope Award for excellence in training. Janie’s leadership extends to community service, where she successfully directed the Ross County Humane Society and developed the Adoption program at Sojourners Care Network, which received congressional recognition in 2011 with the Angels in Adoption Award. Janie’s serves on the board of her local YMCA and actively participates in volunteer opportunities. Janie received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Kent State University and is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW).
