Chris Malcolm

Specialist – Family & Protective Services

Christopher Malcolm has worked in child protection since 1998 and has served over two decades in supervisory roles. Chris is a Content Specialist for Ohio’s University Consortium for Child and Adult Services. He researches, writes, and develops standardized curricula for child protection caseworkers and supervisors. His primary area of focus is the Supervisor Core series, and he also largely contributes to courses involving CAPM content. Chris has authored and contributed to multiple standardized curricula. Chris is committed to improving child protection services. He is adept at managing multiple work units, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and fostering productive working relationships. He has extensive knowledge of the Ohio Administrative Code, Ohio Revised Code, CAPM, and child protection regulations.

His previous roles included time as a Senior Social Service Supervisor and Social Program Administrator at the Cuyahoga County Department of Children and Family Services, where he provided leadership, developed operational policies, and improved service delivery models. He has successfully managed various administrative tasks, proposed efficiency strategies, and ensured quality assurance standards. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Michigan State University and graduate-level Public Administration and Community Counseling coursework at Cleveland State University.
