Instructional Designer – Substitute Care & Permanency
Allison Nowak is an Instructional Designer and eLearning Developer with a Master Instructional Designer designation from the Association for Talent Development and a Bachelor of Science in English Education from Ohio University. Allison has designed numerous courses for OUCCAS, including Introduction to the Homestudy, Financial Supports, and Adoption Finalization Process. She’s also been part of organizational change initiatives around virtual learning, marketing, contractor management, and instructional design.
Allison is experienced in developing immersive, learner-driven eLearning courses; branching scenarios that provide real-world decision-making practice; instructor-led courses with beautiful slide decks and engaging learner activities; and multimedia products like posters, job aids, infographics, and videos. In all her design work, she considers accessibility and inclusion principles, learning and behavioral science, visual and multimedia design principles, and UI/UX frameworks like UUD. She is an active member of the Training, Learning, and Development Community (TLDC) and serves as OUCCAS’ go-to Articulate Storyline expert.
